I have a question for you.............

Have you ever noticed how much better you feel when you're around others who share your passions and ideas and how frustrating it can be when you're around people who don't?

And how soothing it is to be greeted by your animal friends after a rough day as they give you unconditional love, are grateful for all that you do, and expect very little in return?

I'm sure you've noticed and, like me, you know the calm and connection we all share with animals and with others who are of a like mind to ours.

It can be very powerful and something we should cherish, protect and strengthen.

But life often works to oppose us in this connection and strength. With bad economic news, natural disasters and tales of animal cruelty, it can be difficult to stay focused on what really matters.

It would be nice to be able to stay connected, to be reminded of what is permanent and strengthening and what will pass if we just stay focused.

I have a wonderful way to do that..........

Hello,

My name is Charlene Boyd and for over a decade I've worked as an animal communicator and teacher. During this time I have helped hundreds of pets and their owners achieve a deeper understanding and connection, often through very difficult times.

It is my life's purpose to do so.

Frequently pet owners tell me they feel alone and uncertain when faced with difficulties with their pets and in their lives, and they'd like somewhere to turn, a place of support and resource.

That's why I'm excited to announce the formation of my Animal Connections Group, a group whose focus is strengthening the connection to and understanding of animals through community and education.

Through this group we're creating a community of like-minded individuals who are there to support each other and to share the knowledge that each of us has acquired in caring for and improving the lives of animals and people too.

As leader of this group, it is my role to provide the means to achieve this, which I will do through education, events and keeping connections open so that the community can share with each other, grow and strengthen.

The information, tools and resources that I've assembled to achieve our community are simple to use, don't require much more than a telephone and a computer, and are there waiting for you when you need them.

I've tried to make this a place where all interested pet owners can come and find help, where we all work to help one another and help our animals too in living stronger and better lives.

"Dear Charlene, Thank you so much for your help. Several years ago you worked with my Faranelli, who had ingested toxic materials (my fault).

If you recall, he was afraid to eat before you worked with him. He is now doing so well! His allergies have subsided, and he has hair, tons of it! He is now 11 years old and we love him dearly. "

— Thank you again, MGW, Hattiesburg, MS
"ROCKY - Many people find that as a family pet ages it is incredibly painful to watch the decline of their friend of so
many years. Some people start to feel the need to get a younger animal to cushion the loss they will soon
be facing.

I was contacted by a family in this situation who was feeling conflicted by wanting to get a younger dog. The family definitely did not want to to be disloyal to Rocky at this time in his life and asked me to contact Rocky to see how he felt and what he wanted from his family.

When I contacted Rocky he was very relieved to be able to express his thoughts and feelings on the subject. He knew the family had been talking about another dog in the not-to-distant future. I asked him how he felt about this. He told me that it made him feel sad because he still thought of himself as still important to his family. He told me that he really did not want to compete with a younger and possibly cuter dog for the love and affection that he so desperately needed at this time in his life. I told Rocky I would share his feelings and concerns with his family.

The family was very understanding of Rocky's worries and feelings. We talked about things that the family
could do individually and as a family for Rocky. They all agreed that they would not get another dog until Rocky had passed and would, instead, spend more time fulfilling Rocky's wishes.

Rocky lived for another four months and the end of his life was filled with love, attention and dignity. Their children had never experienced the decline and eventual passing of a family pet. The parents made this a very loving and life affirming experience for them as well.

A couple of months passed and the mother gave me an update on how the family was doing after Rocky's passing. They had recently adopted a shelter dog for the family to love and to help them all heal. She told me that the sadness they all experienced with Rocky's loss had been lessened by the new dog. I am sure that Rocky is smiling down on all of them, helping to teach the new pup the ways of the family that he
knew and loved so much.

Charlene."

"Charlene,

A few months ago you communicated with my deceased greyhound, Lindy. I must tell you again what a comfort it was, and still is, to hear her thoughts. You also shared a bit about what my next greyhound might be like, and that Lindy would have a hand in it (or paw!). The happy news is that I am finally ready to adopt again, and have found a beautiful girl named Jenny. She is a red/fawn brindle, quite petite, and a bit of a character! She will be coming to her forever home on March 30th.

Thank you for your help. I've attached a photo of her. I will be taking lots of pictures when she
arrives!"

— Sincerely, Diana

"I just wanted to write and thank you for talking to me. I told my husband what you had said about Max wishing she could have been more indoors, so we invited Max to come in.

She walked around, wagging her tail the whole time. She settled down on the rug and just looked at us.

I wanted to let you know that Max died last night while I was holding and petting her and praying for a swift and painless death. We buried her in our field, under a pine tree. I just wanted to say thank you very much for helping us do what we could for Max's last days. "
— Thank you again, Eva
